First Communion Sessions: Timeless Portraits for a Special Milestone



This spring, I had the joy of photographing a series of First Communion sessions, and let me just say, they were absolutely beautiful. These sessions were created to honor such a meaningful milestone in a young girl's life, and each one was filled with grace, sweetness, and a little sparkle.


Each girl arrived in her First Communion dress -delicate lace, flowing tulle, soft gloves, veils, and rosaries,  looking like an absolute angel. We kept the setup minimal and light-filled, using soft whites and neutrals to really let the focus stay on the girls and their beautiful details. The result is a timeless portrait that feels classic and reverent, but still full of joy.


These sessions were designed to be quick but meaningful. In just a short time, we captured both traditional prayerful poses and natural, joyful expressions that parents and families will treasure for years to come.


It’s always such a privilege to document these once-in-a-lifetime moments. First Communion is more than a ceremony,  it’s a milestone of faith, family, and growing up. I’m so honored to help preserve it.
