The Newborn Experience
Your entire pregnancy you wonder what your baby is going to look like. Will they have your hair or eye color? Will they have beautiful full cheeks and rosebud lips? Some features stay forever and some change and become a memory of how new they were. Newborn photos are some of the most precious photos you will ever take, and they are a heart melting priceless way to celebrate a new little life.
I try to make the process of a newborn session as easy as possible.
Booking:
Once you contact me and let me know you’d like to book, I send you a booking link. You fill out the questionnaire, contract, and can pay online.
Planning:
I use your simple questionnaire to design your session. Every session has a similar flow to make sure baby stays settled and I style and create setups based on your color preferences and style. If you have specific images you like to use as inspiration or a style you’d like to stick to just let me know.
Baby’s Arrival:
Once baby arrives just let me know and we schedule the actual session date for you to come to me Monterey Bay studio. Newborn sessions take 2-4 hours. But don’t worry it’ll go by fast and once the family photos are over you’re welcome to take a nap!
I have it all!
All you need to bring to your session is yourselves dressed for photos, your adorable baby, and their diaper bag. I have backdrops, baby outfits, props, even some spare diapers and wipes just in case.
Sibling:
The majority of my sessions have sibling. Many times it’s previous clients ( who I’m thrilled to see again!) Or new families that have move to the Monterey Baby area. I know having an older sibling in toe can be stressful, especially if they are a toddler-but not to fear! I do family and sibling photos first, and then they are free to go. Dad can take them to the park, or grandma can pick them up, or they can stay in the studio and get some individual mommy daddy time on the couch while I do their siblings newborn photos.
All Done:
Once the session is done it take 2-3 weeks for me to edit your session. I’ll send you the link to your online gallery and form there you can download your images, get them printed, and share with your family that is probably very eager to see them.
