Why I'm CHanging my business name...

About 13 years ago, my then-boyfriend (now husband) and I were sitting in a booth at Chili’s, splitting chips and guac, tossing around names for the photography business I had just decided to start. I knew I didn’t want to use my name. At the time, I had just started photographing babies and young families, and I was worried that my traditionally male name might confuse potential clients or even turn them away. On top of that, my name isn’t spelled the traditional way, and I imagined the endless emails correcting misspellings or trying to explain how to find me online.

So we brainstormed. I can still remember the moment I casually said, “What about So Cute?” We both paused, looked at each other, and said, “There’s no way that’s available.” But somehow, it was. I claimed the domain, designed the first logo, and just like that, So Cute Photo was born.

Since then, it has been over 12 years of babies, families, maternity sessions, holiday minis, milestones, and so many incredible clients. Many of you have trusted me year after year. "So Cute Photo" has been a name that grew with me. Clients lovingly say it when they describe what they want from a session, and laugh when they inadvertently say it while looking a a photo. It has been sweet, playful, sentimental, and it has served me well.

But like anything in life, growth brings change. Over the past few years, my work has evolved. I’ve found myself drawn to more refined, timeless imagery, and my brand has shifted to reflect that. My sessions now focus more on experience, artistry, and legacy. I’ve grown more confident not only in my style, but in who I am as an artist.

Now, after more than a decade behind the name So Cute Photo, I’m ready to step forward. It’s time for my name to become the face of my business. Going forward, my business will be called Brenden Boggs Photography.

This change is not about letting go of what I’ve built. It’s about building on top of it. I am still the same warm, creative photographer you’ve trusted with your most important moments. The heart behind the lens is still here and so is the cuteness. But now my work will carry a name that better reflects who I am today and where I’m headed next.

Thank you for being part of the So Cute Photo chapter. I’m so excited for this next one, and I can’t wait to welcome you to Brenden Boggs Photography.

With gratitude and so much excitement,

Brenden
